The Adept approach
One crew.
One quote.
Walls that read flat.
Drywall and interior finishing look cheap when corners are rushed and sand marks show through primer. We scope finish level to your lighting and paint, then execute tape-to-prime with one accountable team and a fixed price agreed before we hang the first sheet.
- Written scope, sheet counts, and finish level before you commit
- Dust control and daily clean-up - built for occupied homes
- Primer-ready handoff or seamless handoff to painting on the same crew
What's included
Everything in your drywall and interior finishing scope - in one quote
One crew coordinates board, tape, mud, and primer so you are not juggling separate tapers and painters without a plan. Every line item below is priced before we start.
How it works
Your drywall and interior finishing project, step by step
Predictable drying windows, light-checked sanding, and one point of contact from start to primer.
01
Site visit & scope
We walk the rooms, mark new layouts or repairs, check framing and moisture history, and confirm finish level so drywall and interior finishing pricing is accurate before we load in.
02
Fixed-price quote
Within 48 hours you receive a written price for board, tape, mud, sand, and prime scope - sheet counts and finish level spelled out, not hidden allowances.
03
Hang & rough mud
Drywall hung square, staggered joints where it matters, then first beds and tapes - dust contained and debris bagged out regularly.
04
Fill, sand & detail
Successive coats, feathering, corner straightening, and light check before primer - fasteners dimpled, bumps removed.
05
Prime & walkthrough
Sealed surfaces ready for paint or handoff to our painters on the same crew - punch list with you before we call the room done.
“They did a great job. They came to do a thorough assessment of the job and provided great suggestions. The project was on schedule and on budget. They made sure I was satisfied afterward, and were good about fixing some issues with my wall they came upon during the job, at no extra cost. Thanks!”

Common questions
Drywall & interior finishing FAQs
- How long does drywall and interior finishing take?
- A single room refresh often runs a few days to a week depending on drying between coats. A full basement or main floor typically runs one to three weeks from hang to primer-ready, longer if extensive leveling or texture removal is involved. You receive a written timeline before work starts.
- What does drywall installation cost in the GTA?
- Drywall and finishing costs in the Greater Toronto Area depend on board type, ceiling height, finish level, and access. Small patch jobs may be quoted as a minimum visit; larger areas are priced per square foot with taper finish included. We provide a fixed-price written quote after a site visit.
- What is the difference between Level 4 and Level 5 drywall finish?
- Level 4 is the standard residential finish under flat or low-sheen paint after primer - joints and fasteners should not telegraph under normal viewing. Level 5 adds a skim coat over the whole surface for critical lighting, gloss paint, or very dark colours. We recommend the level that matches your paint schedule so you do not overpay.
- Can you match existing texture or orange peel?
- Often yes, within reason. We sample adjacent walls, match spray or hand texture where possible, and flag expectations when old texture or many coats make a perfect match unrealistic.
- Do you offer drywall and interior finishing in Mississauga, Vaughan, and North York?
- Yes. We work across Toronto and the GTA including Mississauga, Vaughan, North York, Etobicoke, Richmond Hill, and Markham. Travel and service area are included in our quotes - no surprise mileage fees by municipality.
